a few things that make sketch my moment a little different.
Are your portraits actually hand-drawn every time?
Yes, always! I don't work from templates, so every sketch is drawn from scratch on the day, capturing what your guests are genuinely wearing and how they actually look, not a generic outfit swapped onto a stock pose. It does mean I get through fewer portraits per hour than illustrators working from templates, but for me that's the whole point. It's worth it so every keepsake feels genuinely them.
How many colours do you actually use?
Over 500! My pen collection is a little out of control, in the best way 🎨. It means I can match hair colours, outfits and little details properly, rather than settling for "close enough".
Do you only cover London, or further afield?
I travel UK wide and beyond! All my packages include travel, and I've sketched 2 destination weddings so far, so if your date is further afield, just ask.
Is it just you on the day, or do you bring help?
It's me sketching every portrait, and depending on your guest count I bring a small team along too, an extra pair of hands to help colour in on the bigger events, so as many people as possible can be sketched!
Do I have to pose a certain way?
Not at all! Solo, or grab your favourite people, 1, 2, 3, or 4 of you, however you like, I'll draw you exactly as you are. Champagne or beer in hand? Even better.
Do guests get to keep their portrait?
Yes! It's theirs to take home as a guest favour on the day, and cherish forever.
What's your favourite part of the day?
Honestly, watching guests' reactions when they see their portrait for the first time. That's what makes it all worth it!
